Reflector optical sensors are characterized by the presence of a receiver and emitter in one housing. They are one of the most common types of sensors in industry. The affordable price and reliable technology leads to their application in various applications. Position sensing, registration and counting, linear displacement and others are a small part of the application of diffuse sensors.
The ability to work with a reflector increases the strength of the emitted signal, which leads to an increase in the operating distance and variety of materials that the sensor can register.
They are characterized by a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, operation in the infrared region of the light spectrum. They have overvoltage protection for inductive load, short circuit and reverse connection of the power supply.
At STS Electronics, we produce these sensors in different housings, the standard ones being M18. Some rectangular cases are also popular.
This type of sensor is manufactured with a connecting cable or M08/M12 coupling. The output type can be PNP, NO+NC or NPN, NO+NC.
