Programmable digital timer STS 122-08

STS-122-08R / O / -S220 / 24 / is a programmable digital timer with the following functions:
– Power on delay:
The timer runs on the rising edge at the ‘START’ input or when the signal at the GATE input fails. Timing can be stopped by input ‘STOP’. A temporary stop / pause / can be achieved with a signal at the ‘GATE’ input. When time reaches a set limit (LIM1, LIM2), it activates the corresponding output.

A temporary stop / pause / can be achieved with a signal at the ‘GATE’ input. Upon reaching the time limit set (LIM1, LIM2), it activates the corresponding PLS1, PLS2 timeout set in the settings. The range is 00.01 – 99.99 seconds.
– Cyclic mode:
The action is like a single pulse, but after reaching the set limit (LIM1, LIM2), the timer starts counting from the beginning. Only one output can be set in cyclic mode.
– Exit output:
If necessary, the corresponding output can be turned off.
Each of the outputs can be set to a different function. After both outputs have been switched on, ‘OVER’ is displayed on the display ‘SV’ – the timer is ready for a new start.
By pressing the ‘RESET’ button or the ‘RESET’ input signal, the timer operation can be stopped at any time.

– 9.999 seconds, 99.99 seconds, 999.9 seconds, 9999 seconds;
– 99.59 minutes.seconds, 999.5 minutes.seconds, 9999 minutes

/ LED indicator ‘H’ is lit.
When time is running, the corresponding ‘H’ or ‘M’ indicator flashes.

Change Boundaries

By pressing the ‘LIMIT1’ or ‘LIMIT2’ button once, you can change the limit. LED 1 – for ‘LIMIT1’ or 2 – for ‘LIMIT2’ flashes. The ‘SV’ display shows the limit value and ‘PV’ continues to decelerate the current timer time. By pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons the value can be changed. Holding a button increases the rate of change.
The return to working mode, with the recording of the changes, is done by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Staying in a menu for more than 10 seconds without pressing a button also returns to a working mode with a record of changes.
During the change of the limits the time continues to run if the timer is started. If the limit coincides with the current time, an output response occurs.

Change parameters

The parameter change menu is password protected. The access password is 0122 and can not be changed by the user.
Pressing and holding the ‘SET’ button for 2 seconds enters the password entry menu ‘PASS’. The change digit flashes. The value is changed by pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Press the ‘NEXT’ button to move to the next digit. The process is cyclical. Confirm the password by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. In the case of a correct password, access is permitted to change the parameters, and if ERR is erroneous, it goes into working mode. Change the ‘RANG’ range.
The range changes by pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible ranges and their indications are as follows:
S.DDD – 9.999 seconds, SS.DD – 99.99 seconds,
SSS.D – 999.9 seconds, SSSS – 9999 seconds,
MM.SS – 99.59 minutes.seconds, MMM.S – 999.5 minutes.seconds, MMMM – 9999 minutes, HH.MM – 99.59 hours.minutes, HHH.M – 999.5 hours.minutes, HHHH – 9999 hours
Change the counting direction ‘COUN’
The counting direction is altered alternately with the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible options and their indications are as follows:
UP – countdown, DOWN – count down to zero.

Output Mode 1 ‘MOD1’.
Modes are changed by pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible modes and their indications are as follows:
D_ON – Power on delay,
D_OF – Off delay,
1_SH – Single pulse.
CYCL – Cyclic mode
OFF – Disable
Duration of output pulse ‘PLS1’.
/ not used in ‘D_ON’ and ‘D_OF’ /
The value is changed by pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Holding a button increases the rate of change. Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The range is 00.00 – 99.99 seconds. At 00.00 no impulse is produced.
Output Mode 2 ‘MOD2’.
The settings are analogous to output mode 1 ‘MOD1’.
Duration of output pulse ‘PLS2’.
The settings are similar to the output pulse duration ‘PLS1’.
Set input type ‘IN_T’.
The type is changed alternately by pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible options and their indications are as follows:
NPN – NPN input, PNP – PNP input.
Set the software filter to the ‘IN_F’ inputs.
The filter switches on / off by pressing the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible options and their indications are as follows:
NO – no filter, YES – with filter / 50ms /.
Set Auto Start ‘PAS’
Alternatively, press the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons.
Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible options and their indications are as follows:
YES – automatic start NO – start at input.
Save time when power failure occurs’ PFST
Alternatively, press the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons.
Confirm the change, record and switch to the next parameter by pressing the ‘ENTER’ button. Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes without recording. The possible options and their indications are as follows:
SAVE – save NO – start from zero.
Exit the ‘QUIT’ menu.
Pressing the ‘NEXT’ button goes into working mode. Pressing the ‘ENTER’ button returns to the beginning of the menu.

When staying in a menu for more than 30 seconds. without pressing a button, the timer automatically switches to operating mode.
